Once this house was staged by Betty Ann Balcom and the new photographs (done by yours truly) were installed on the MLS, the calls and showings finally started to happen for the owners of this lovely country property. Within a few short weeks, the house sold, after being on the market without seeing action for over a year. Staging works! Professional photographs work! There are many reasons to love the Valley (the Annapolis Valley in Nova Scotia, that is). One for me, is the continual delight I feel in experiencing the warmth and sincerity that so many family-run businesses project in the way they do business. This week, in spite of a major power outage causing most us to be disorganized and unshowered, the Corkum family, of Evangeline Transport in Port Williams, managed to pull a rabbit out of their family hat and posed for photos to meet a publication deadline.
